Local Entrepreneurs `Spread Their Wings’ With Seventh of 13 Wing Zone Locations to Open in Greater New Orleans
Newest Wing Zone Spices up Slidell with 25 Flavors of Buffalo Chicken Wings
Slidell, LA – As the Buffalo chicken wing craze “takes off” across America, an entrepreneurial team of ambitious brothers from Greater New Orleans are heartily eating up the profits – recently opening their seventh Wing Zone location in the Greater New Orleans area, with six more units scheduled to open by July 1, 2005.
Local entrepreneurs Adam, Keith and Jared Vodanovich are `spicing up’ Greater New Orleans with Wing Zone, a fast-growing national takeout/delivery chain best noted for its award-winning, 25 flavors of Buffalo chicken wings. Wing Zone’s newest locations opened at 1325 Gause Blvd. Suite C, in Slidell on December 6 and at 5128 Lapalco Blvd, Suite D in Marrero on December 30.
Already with locations in eight, the Vodanovich brothers will open locations in Marrero, Gentilly and New Orleans East by the end of January, as well as in Harahan and Gretna by the end of February. An additional location will open in Mid City by July 1, giving Wing Zone a total of 13 open units in Greater New Orleans in a matter of 36 months.
“Greater New Orleans has truly embraced Wing Zone,” said Adam Vodanovich, the chain’s area developer, further noting that Wing Zone is the only chicken wing franchise in the region, and in the nation, to offer 25 flavors of award-winning Buffalo Wings solely for takeout and delivery. “Hands-down, we are the experts in takeout and delivery and are known for quality food and service. Our food products, our packaging, our cooking methods, and our recipes were all developed with the objective of bringing hot, fresh food to our customers’ doorsteps.”
In fact, Wing Zone is quickly winning over customers nationwide with its fast, reliable delivery of Buffalo chicken wings, chicken fingers, chicken sandwiches, half-pound burgers and other hot, fresh menu items. According to Stan Friedman, Executive Vice President of Wing Zone, chicken wings are fast becoming a staple American cuisine.
“Consumers are seeking alternatives to traditional delivery items, and wings are the `hot’ item these days,” Friedman said.
Wing Zone’s extensive menu offers 25 unique flavors of fresh, cooked-to-order wings, including favorites such as nuclear, honey garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun, garlic parmesan, spicy BBQ, honey mustard, ranch and nuclear honey teriyaki. In addition, Wing Zone offers salads, grilled sandwiches and a variety of appetizers such as: chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, battered mushrooms, onion rings and cheese fries.
About Wing Zone
While earning customer loyalty from consumers nationwide, Wing Zone is also receiving recognition from within the food service and franchise industries. In fact, Wing Zone was rated a Top 20 New Franchise by Entrepreneur Magazine (Jan. 2004), included in Bond’s Top 100 Franchise Opportunities, ranked in Franchise Times’ Fast 55 and was recognized by Inc. Wing Zone was founded in 1991 at the University of Florida by Matt Friedman and Adam Scott, who cooked wings with homemade sauces in their fraternity house kitchen and delivered them to fellow college students. After expanding with several Wing Zone locations, Scott and Friedman began franchising Wing Zone in 1999. Wing Zone currently has 60 locations with 40 more in development to open by the end of 2005.
