Thai Chili takes top honors for “Creative Sweet”

For the second consecutive year, Wing Zone® has won the “Creative Sweet” category at the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, NY. Thai Chili was a huge success not only with the judges but with the festival attendees as well. We sold out of Thai Chili sauce on the first day of the festival. Now that’s a popular flavor!

Wing Zone® also takes home a 3rd place award for our Hot sauce. Third place out of 34 restaurant entries isn’t too shabby for a sauce we had never before entered into a sauce competition before.

Matt Friedman and Adam Scott were inducted into the Buffalo Wing “Hall of Flame” to kick off the Festival Weekend. This is a great honor as there are only 4 other inductees in the hall.

Wing Zone® was also the sponsor of the US Competitive Wing Eating Championships again this year. Sonya Thomas aka “The Black Widow” defended her championship for a third straight year by eating an amazing 158 wings in 12 minutes! The best part of this though is that she did it wearing a Wing Zone® facebook t-shirt. That kind of publicity is priceless.
